Homemade Popsicles

If you are trying to stay cool during the last few weeks of summer or anticipating a chill in the air and pumpkin spice flavors, homemade popsicles are a great way to enjoy the season!

Popsicles are inexpensive to make and can be a healthy alternative to other desserts. You might be thinking all popsicles are the same, grape, cherry, lime, and orange, and although those are good flavors, there are many other unique flavors waiting to be discovered!

Popsicles can be made in all kinds of interesting flavors and healthy options. One of my favorite popsicle recipes is similar to the old fashion chocolate-dipped banana. Here is my recipe.

Jen's Chocolate-Dipped Banana Popsicle Recipe

  1. 1-2 cups of plain or vanilla yogurt (depending on how many popsicles you make)

  2. 2 ripe bananas sliced

  3. Chocolate chips (as many as you like, about a cup)

  4. 1/2 a cup of Honey

  5. Finely chopped peanuts (optional, add as many as you like)

Mix the ingredients and pour the mixture into the popsicle molds and let the mixture freeze overnight.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Popsicle Recipe

  1. Whisk 1 cup of canned pumpkin puree, 1/2 cup each sweetened condensed milk and half-and-half, and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. Mix and pour the mixture into popsicle molds and let the popsicles freeze overnight (recipe from the FoodNetwork on 10/5/2021)

Homemade Coffee Popsicle Recipe

  1. One cup of your favorite coffee (refrigerate until its cold)

  2. 1/4 to 1/2 cups of your favorite creamer (half and half or flavored)

  3. 1-4 tablespoons of sugar (to taste)

Mix coffee, sugar, and creamer and pour into popsicle molds. Freeze at least 4-5 hours (I prefer overnight). Recipe from Chocolatemoosey on 10/5/2021.
