The story began in Michigan. I was visiting two friends I met years ago on a cruise ship. We were walking near the shore when I saw a sailboat in the estuary. I took a photo. That image became the catalyst for this book.

I started wondering what that sailboat might look like if it passed through time. Through centuries of visual change. Through color, texture, and form. I used AI to imagine the Alpenara transformed by each major era in art history: ancient cave painting, Renaissance structure, Impressionist light, Cubist geometry, and beyond. That sailboat concept became The Alpenara: A Voyage Through Time.
